The Fort McKay First Nations Reserve Seniors Residence is a new, two storey building located in Fort McKay, Alberta. The facility design includes 23 residence rooms and 8000 ft2 of administrative and support space.
The mechanical system design is a variable air volume air system with perimeter hydronic heating and DX cooling. Perimeter heating and duct coils are served by high efficiency boilers to maximize system operations. The domestic water system design utilizes low volume fixtures and condensing tank type water heaters. All systems are controlled through a direct digital building management system.
